STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
STEP G
Next, run the tacking stitch to hold the appliqué in
place. Trim away the excess fabric up to the
tacking stitch.
STEP H
Repeat steps E through G for any remaining appliqué
steps until you reach the placement stitch for the
trapunto. Take two pieces of batting and place them
on top of the placement stitch. This will become the
trapunto part of the block.
STEP I
This collection involves two types
of appliqué; standard appliqué
and trapunto. It is important that
you follow your number steps
so you know when to place
fabric for a standard appliqué or
batting for trapunto.
The next machine step is the tacking stitch for the
trapunto. Trim away the excess batting up to the
tacking stitch.
