Now that we have our quilt top, we can add some
pops of color with alcohol-based markers.

The benefit of using alcohol-based markers is that
they’re completely blendable! For this technique, we
recommend starting with the lightest color first.

Gradually begin to add additional texture with
complimentary colors. You can incorporate a mix of
fill patterns or shade styles to achieve your desired
look.
Next, take the main design color in its lightest shade
and begin filling in major spaces in the design.
TIP: We are filling in our dots with a textured line
technique, so there is still a lot of blank areas.

To add more texture, use the main color in a medium
shade and add more lines or a fill pattern in varying
directions.
Finally, add the darkest shade of the main color
around the bottom and finish off any remaining
details.
