To create the ombre look, fill the top row of designs
with the lightest of the shading, and continue to add
darker and darker shades as you add detail to each
block. The ombre effect will start to appear.
Continue this shading technique throughout the other
blocks in the row.

Once your quilt top is colored in, you’re ready to add
the back fabric and binding.
To create the back, cut a piece of back fabric about
2” larger than your quilt top. Place the fabric right
side down on your work surface, with the quilt top
placed right side up on top.

Pin the back fabric to the quilt top to prevent any
shifting during attaching.
Using a clear thread, stitch in the ditch of the blocks
to attach the quilt top to the back fabric, working your
way outwards. Make sure to stitch in the ditch both
vertically and horizontally.
