Once tacked, use scissors to trim the excess batting from all four
sides.

Run the next machine step, which will be a tacking stitch for the
base fabric. Once the fabric is tacked, do not trim. Continue on to
the next machine step, which will be the embroidery accents.

Using a rotary cutter and ruler, trim away any excess stabilizer
and fabric on all sides of the quilt block. Remember to leave at
least 1/4” seam allowance on all sides so the block can easily be
attached later.
Then, place the base fabric face up over the batting. Be sure to
leave enough fabric for at least 1/4” seam allowance on all sides
of the block.
When the block is finished stitching, it is ready to be removed
from the hoop.
Your quilt block is now complete!
