Step-by-Step
Instructions
A B
To begin, hoop a piece of tear away stabilizer and the fabric or
garment of choice. For this example, we are stitching on white
cotton. NOTE: We suggest using iron-on fusible interfacing on
all fabrics being directly embroidered on.
Run the first step of the design, which will be a placement stitch
for the hidden appliqué.
C D
Take a piece of appliqué fabric and place it, right side up,
covering the placement stitches completely.
NOTE: Even though it is hidden, we suggest picking a neutral
or coordinating cotton for this hidden appliqué!
The next step will tack down your appliqué fabric.
E F
Once tacked down, use a pair of scissors to trim away the excess
appliqué fabric, trimming close to the stitch line.
Your hidden appliqué should look something like this once
trimmed.
