Clip into the corners of each inner and outer point. This will
release the backing when you’re ready to add the binding.
To extend the length of your strips, take 2 strips and align the
ends perpendicularly. Sew across the ends to stitch them
together.
Use an iron to press the binding in half, length-wise.
For the binding, cut 3.5” strips of fabric. The length of the binding
will depend on the size block you started with. For an A-sized
block, we needed binding that was 3.5” x 90.”
Next, use an iron to butterfly the seams. Do this as many times as
you need to increase the length of your binding.
Align the raw edge of the binding with the raw edge of the star,
fold and pin the end as shown.
