CREATING THE PATTERN

While wearing a comfortably-fitting shoe, trace around the outside
of the foot onto heavy paper or cardboard. We used a manila file
folder.

Use scissors to carefully cut out the pattern.
Take the shoe off, and step into the pattern. There should be
approximately 1” seam allowance on all sides of your bare foot.
Make adjustments to the pattern as needed.
Now your sole template is ready to be used. The toe cap portion
will be created later.
In order to create these slippers to fit any shoe size, you can
customize the template by following the steps as shown here.
Creating your own pattern allows for these slippers to be made
for the smallest to largest feet!
