To create the binding strips, you will need to cut fabric on the bias
to ensure there is enough stretch. Begin with a large square of
fabric, 25” x 25”.
Starting at the crease, use a ruler and fabric chalk to mark the
fabric in 2” bias strips.
Fold and crease the fabric diagonally, as shown so that both sides
are aligned.
Cut the fabric into strips along the markings.
You will need to attach your strips together with a 1/2” seam
allowance. You will have one long strip once you do this. The
length of your strip will need to be determined by the perimeter
of your slipper. Your finished bias strip should look like this.
