From the bottom up, stack the Suede, Stiffener, and Hi-Loft
batting. Then top with the trimmed quilt block. Using spray
adhesive, carefully press down to adhere the layers.
With your sewing machine and matching or clear thread, sew
around the edges of the layers, leaving 1/4” seam allowance to
ensure they are attached.
If any layers are not flush with one another, trim excess as
needed. This will make sewing easier, and ensure a more uniform
look for the footbed.
Then place the toe cap quilt block and the faux fabric together.
The soft side of the fur should be touching the back side of the
quilt block. Then pin together from the back side as shown.
Using thread that matches the faux fur, sew the toe cap quilt block
and the fur together at a 1/2” seam allowance; removing the pins
as you stitch.
Once stitched, the pieces should look like this when laid flat.
Remember if your quilt block has a directional design, that the
footbed and toe cap should be facing the same direction.
