To start, take a length of cotton welt cording and trim to size. The
length will depend on how long you prefer your necklace to
drape. Ours was trimmed to 27.”
NOTE: If in doubt, remember that it’s easier to trim, but you
can’t add additional rope.

Begin tightly binding the ribbon around the cording.
Overlap the edges of the ribbon so that the cording does
not show underneath.
Place a dab of Tacky Glue on the end of the silk ribbon. Glue
is optional, but it will reduce some of the unraveling that might
happen later down the line.
To complete the segment, add another dab of tacky glue to the
end of the ribbon so that it stays put by itself. Repeat this process
for the remaining strips of ribbon or yarn segments.
NOTE: Use glue sparingly. Too much glue will make the
necklace stiff and discolor the ribbon and yarn.
