Once the blocks are attached, check the alignment carefully,
paying special attention to the design edges.
TIP: If something is misaligned, you can simply remove the
basting stitches and try again.

Once attached, butterfly the seams open and press them using a
steam iron.
TIP: Since we used velvet for the base fabric, placing another
piece of velvet face down over the block will prevent the fabric
from being crushed.

Lay the first and second rows face to face, and align the design
using the same method as when attaching the blocks. Pin the
rows together to prevent shifting.
When you are satisfied with the alignment, use a regular stitch to
attach the blocks; sewing just inside the squaring stitch.
Repeat steps A - I until all three rows are joined and ready to be
sewn together.
Sew the rows together, using a basting stitch between the pins.
Check the alignment, and adjust as needed. Then stitch the rows
together as you did the blocks in step H. Repeat this process until
all three rows are joined.
