Not It?
How frustrating to be at Step 7, and the offer does not come or does not work!
One of our volunteers was looking for his next job after being laid off. On
Friday, he had 10 opportunities developing, three of which looked like offers
were coming. By noon the following Monday, all 10 were gone! He took a deep
breath, learned from the experience and started over. The next job opportunity
he got. It was so good that after a few years, he retired.
When you get a NOT IT, what you do next matters most. Consider these
follow-up ideas:
• Explore with the employer whether “No” really means “No.” Maybe it
• Keep the relationships you have made.
• Learn from the experience. What could you have done better or differently?
See if you can get feedback from your interviews.
• If it is a door God closed, then say “Thank You!”
• Review Steps 1 and 2 about God’s calling and your attitude.
• Always try to have two or more opportunities developing at the same time.
Got It!
it is work that God has prepared for you,
you have received counsel from your
close advisors, and there is agreement
with your spouse.
