Overcome depression with personal strength training, which generates muchneeded
energy and endurance for the journey ahead. To help you press towards
the goal:
Eat Right + Exercise + Get Lots Of Rest
Read each section below and in the box that follows, write at least one goal for
the section you just read.
Physically: Eat and drink the good stuff. Consider adjusting your diet by cutting
calories and fat. Reduce caffeine and alcohol. Exercise appropriately 3-5 times
a week. Sleep at least 7 hours a night. See your doctor when needed, at least
annually. Ask about possible chemical imbalance if you are suffering depression.
Mentally: Feed your mind good thoughts. Spend time with good friends.
Do things you enjoy. Get time alone when needed. Learn new things. See a
professional counselor as needed.
Spiritually: Read Go with God again on pages 15-16. Pray for others and post
Be active in a church.
