Find Employers
Find employers who need most what you do best. Imagine you are a hand
Start identifying target employers in preferred locations and industries through:
• Chambers of commerce
• Newspapers, business journal and magazine websites
• Professional and trade associations, clubs and user groups
• Online job postings
Once you identify a target employer, learn more by searching their websites
about…
• Products, services and markets to learn what they do for whom.
• Organization mission, vision, values, size, scope and growth.
• Leader names and positions in areas you are interested in.
•
• Job openings and descriptions.
If you do not see a job posting for you, it does not mean there are no openings.
Search for people who work for a target employer. Ask employees about their
role, what they like and possible employment opportunities.
