Once attached, pull the lining out to locate the gaps you left in the
lining’s seam. NOTE: The small gap will remain open to help
create the channel for your drawstring later.

Using clear or matching thread, add a top stitch along the seam of
the lining and the bag’s edge, sewing just inside the fold.

At this point, your bag should look something like this with the
openings visible in the lining.
Using the larger gap in the seam, locate the right side where the
top of the bag meets the attached lining.
Now, take the body of the bag and gently turn the project right
side out through the larger gap.
Align and pin the seams together of the larger gap and sew the
opening shut from the right side.
