To begin, hoop a piece of tear-away stabilizer. Run the first step of the design, which will be a placement stitch
for your card. NOTE: We are using a flat card.

If you are using a card that opens up, place the
front of the card within the placement stitch, with
the back of the card hanging off to the left.
Secure the card within the placement stitches using tape. Next will be a tacking stitch to secure the card to the stabilizer,
which will also act as a placement stitch for your base fabric.

Place your base fabric, right side up, being sure to cover the
placement stitches on all sides.
Run the tacking stitch for your base fabric.

Choose a thread color to match your base fabric.
