TYPES OF BACKGROUNDS
The medium you embroider onto can truly alter the look of a finished piece. From intricate folds of
fabric adding a pop of color on your art wall, or using a less common base material of card stock or
even wallpaper, the term "embroidery" gets redefined with Wilson's approach of adding stitches to
uncommon surfaces. A variety of dimensional designs like lace flowers, butterflies, and paper cutting
SVG files can each become a stunning feature when added to a printed background or over top an
array of folds. Just remember, if your base material is a fabric, be sure to use a double layer of no
show mesh stabilizer, while with card stock or wallpaper a single piece of tear away will suffice.
