G. Proceed to run the
decorative satin stitches for
the standard appliqué.
C. Run the first step in the
design over the twill,
which will be a placement
stitch for the appliqué
fabric.
I. Using sharp, curved-tip
scissors, trim the design
as close as possible to the
satin stitches, taking care
not to clip any of them.
A. To begin, hoop 1 piece
of tear away stabilizer to
fit your hoop. We will be
stitching SigSer-Sil4.
D. Place the appliqué fabric
right side facing up and
run the tacking stitch.
NOTE: We're using design
SigSer-FF2b as our appliqué.
E. Once tacked down, use a
pair of sharp, curved tip
scissors to trim away the
excess material from the
tacking stitches.
F. Once trimmed, your
appliqué should look
something like this.
NOTE: The twill base
material was not trimmed.
B. Take a large piece of twill
that coordinates with your
silhouette's colors and use
spray adhesive to secure it
centered to the stabilizer.
H. When the design is
finished, remove it from
the hoop. Use a rotary
cutter and ruler to trim
down the excess materials.
