Take both pieces of fabric and align them right side together.

Use pins to secure the layers together. To create the point of the flag, measure 5" from the bottom
end and use a pen or chalk to mark. Do this on both sides at
the lower end of the flag.

Find the center of the fabric and mark at bottom end. Use a ruler to connect the center marking with the two
markings on each side to create the point.
To start, you will need at least one completed embroidery
design stitched onto the project fabric of your choice.
NOTE: For our example, we have already stitched out two
embroidery and appliqué designs on two pieces of linen.
