MEET OUR FRIENDS, SHANNON FABRICS Shannon
Fabrics is a family-owned-business that was established by
a father and son team in Los Angeles, CA in 1995. Here at
Anita Goodesign, we love using Shannon Fabrics products
in our collections and also supporting another family-owned
small business.
FANTASTIC FABRIC Some of the fabrics they are best
known for include cotton gauze, terrycloth, and their ultra
plush Cuddle® collection! Over the years, these fabrics have
become household names and we can clearly see why.
Since it’s still cool outside, we are currently focusing on the
soft Cuddle® collection at Shannon Fabrics. This is microfiber
plush minky that comes in multiple varieties. These fabrics
are so soft and huggable, you won’t want to put them down
(other than to use them in your embroidery projects)!
This high-quality line of minky comes in Solids, Embossed,
Prints, and even Sparkle varieties. There is a regular super
soft Cuddle® and even a Luxe Cuddle® that has a higher
plush pile for a fluffier and even softer feel. The Solids come
in every color you could possibly imagine, the Embossed line
is designed with texture to give a little more depth that you
can feel, the Prints collection has beautiful patterns to choose
from, and the Sparkle does exactly as its name promises!
Here at Anita Goodesign, we have most recently used the
Cuddle® fabrics in our Embroidered Slippers collection. Even
though this fabric is lush and fluffy, by adding in a layer of
topper, it can be embroidered beautifully. We also used
the Cuddle® line as appliqué in our previous Crazy Cubes
collection, so it’s versatile! Using quality products like those
found from Shannon Fabrics really elevates the level of
softness and even the cuteness of your projects.
