Place the appliqué fabric right side up over the placement
stitch, being sure to cover the stitches entirely.

Run the tacking stitch, which will secure the appliqué. Using a pair of curved tip embroidery scissors, neatly trim
away the excess fabric, being sure not to trim through the
tacking stitches.
Referencing pictured steps L - R, continue attaching the
top and bottom borders of the design, being sure to leave
at least 1” seam allowance extending past the block. Press
the borders with an iron before continuing. Then, run any
decorative machine steps until you arrive at the placement
stitch for the next standard appliqué.
