Lay your appliqué fabric over top of the placement stitch. Be
sure to cover it completely.

Run your next machine step, which will be the tacking stitch
for your appliqué.
Trim away any excess fabric close to the tacking stitch line.
Continue running the decorative embroidery for your design,
following your numbered machine steps for any indicated
color changes until you have reached the placement stitch
for a standard appliqué.
