STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

Place the first leather tie along this mark, ensuring that the
raw end of the tie aligns with the raw edge of the fabric.

Place the second piece of base fabric on top, right sides
facing together.
Pin the tie in place at the 11⁄2" marking, making sure that the
free end of the tie is sandwiched in between the two fabrics
on the inside.

Place the second tie on the opposite side, 11⁄2" from the top
and in-between the two fabrics, with the free end on the
inside. Pin in place.
Pin the two fabrics together along the top edge.
To begin, place one cut of your base fabric right side facing
up on your work surface. Use tailor's chalk or a water soluble
marker along the shorter edge of the fabric to mark 11⁄2" from
the top.
