Begin stitching along the top of the flag. Use the tape as a
guide by aligning the top edge of the flag with the edge of
the tape as you stitch for a nice, straight line.
To create the top flag pole channel, measure 11⁄2" from the
needle and place a piece of tape on the sewing machine as
your guide.

Stitch the other side of the channel by stitching 1⁄2" from
the top.
Once done, your garden flag will look similar to this. Run
a wooden dowel through the top channel and your flag is
ready to hang.
