Go ahead and run the embroidery steps for the design,
STOPPING before the next tacking stitch is ran. You can
reference the design’s numbered machine steps to help.
Now, remove the hoop from your machine and flip it over
to the back side so that the bobbin stitches are facing you.
Place a piece of back fabric directly over the back of the
design with the right side facing up towards you. Be sure to
cover the stitches entirely, then tape the fabric in place.
Return your hoop to the machine, taking care not to bunch
up the fabric when sliding in your hoop. Run the next
machine step, which is the tacking stitch to secure the back
fabric. The back of your design should now look like this.
Using a pair of curved tip embroidery scissors, neatly trim
away the excess back fabric, trimming close to the tacking
stitches without snipping into them.
