CREATING A HAND STITCHED BLOCK
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
To begin, hoop a piece of No-Show mesh stabilizer. Run the first machine step, which is the squaring stitch to
indicate where to place your batting.
Place a piece of batting directly over the squaring stitches,
being sure to cover them on all sides.
Using a pair of curved tip embroidery scissors, trim away the
excess batting close to the tacking stitch lines, taking care
not to snip any of the stitches.
Run the next machine step, which is the tacking stitch that
secures the batting to the stabilizer.
Your block should now look something like this.
