CONFETTI F-C
The Confetti technique is a great way to add a pop of fun
into your embroidery projects! This exciting technique will
feature a key element or appliqués that will get confetti
added to it. Once the standard appliqué material has been
tacked down and trimmed, you’ll add the fun confetti effect
using various bits of fabric, mylar, organza, scrap threads,
or cuts of ribbon—as long as your needle can safely pass
through (or around) it, you can get creative for what you
place within the confetti shape! Once all your bits are
sprinkled over the space, a layer of sheer netting, tulle, or
even vinyl will get tacked overtop. Finally, after trimming
away any excess, a sleek satin stitch will help conceal your
trimmed edges to secure all the fun inside. The finished
block is certainly party-worthy, and is sure to bring a bit of
visual interest to your next project!
