Trim away any excess appliqué material you have from the
tacking stitches.
Once trimmed, your design should look something like this.
Run the next step, which will be the placement stitch for your
first piece of folded fabric. You will notice the placement
stitch overlaps a small portion of your last laid fabric; this
overlapped area of stitches will help you with placement!
Lay your fabric right side facing down, aligning the edge to
cover where the placement stitch overlapped the last piece
of fabric, as shown above. NOTE: Be sure your fabric is cut
large enough to cover the entire placement stitch area!
