STITCHING THE BACK OF THE BAG
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
First, hoop a piece of Tear-Away stabilizer.
NOTE: For this example, we are loading F-B1 to create the
back of the bag first.
Run the first machine step, which is a placement stitch that
indicates where the fabric for the bag will be placed.
Place your base fabric right side facing down so that the
bottom edge of the fabric slightly overlaps the top line of the
placement stitch by roughly 1⁄4”.
Run the next machine step, which is a combination tacking
and basting stitch for the top of the bag. The tacking stitches
are a shorter, multi-ply stitches (in black) while the basting
stitches are a single ply, longer stitches (in white).
