FREE MOTION
Our free motion technique is certainly unique! Free motion
embroidery is specially-digitized to run long, continuous
embroidered stitches, known as bean stitches. In quilt
blocks, the stitching generally reaches from one edge of the
block to the other at a designated start/stop point. When
multiple blocks are then sewn together, the continuous line
embroidery will connect the blocks effortlessly. Some free
motion designs may even illustrate fun motifs or seasonal
patterns, perfect for mixing and matching with blocks from
other collections! Design the ultimate bed set by piecing
together a coordinating set of pillows and shams, or jazz up
an old duvet with some simple stitching. Free motion is often
used in quilt blocks to create their “quilted” look, but can
also be created as simple embroidery to embellish home
decor or garments alike.
