Next, place your base fabric over top of the batting. You will
want to ensure your base fabric is cut large enough for a 1⁄2”
seam allowance on all four sides.
Switch threads to a color that will match your base fabric,
then proceed to run the tacking stitch to secure the base
fabric in place.
Run the next machine step, which is the quilt stippling for the
quilt block.
Using a ruler and rotary cutter, trim your design to a 1⁄2” seam
allowance on all four sides.
Following your design’s numbered machine steps, continue
to run the remaining embroidery steps to stitch out the hand
stitched design. Once the embroidery has been run, the
block should look something like this.
