Run your next machine step, which will be the tacking
stitch for your additional batting. This is what will create the
additional puff for the trapunto effect.
Once tacked down, trim away any excess batting from your
tacking stitch with a pair of curved tip scissors. INSET: Once
trimmed, the puffed area will look similar to this.
Place your base fabric with the right side facing up. Be sure
to cover all sides of your block and leave at least a 1⁄2” seam
allowance all around. Run your next machine step which will
tack down your base fabric.
Once your design has finished running, remove it from
hoop. With a ruler and a rotary cutter, trim away any excess
stabilizer and fabric from your block. Be sure to leave a 1⁄2”
seam allowance on all sides.
Run the remaining embroidery steps by following along with
your designs numbered machine steps for the indicated
color changes.
Your Trapunto block is now complete!
