• DSC radios are capable of interfacing
with GPS receivers and if this connection
is made, vessel position is automatically
sent with the distress call.
• You can place DSC calls to selected parties
(working communication, not emergency).
• When the DSC button is pressed, you
enter the called party’s MMSI (called
parties can be individual radios or
a group) and identify the working
channel that you choose to use for
voice communications.
• The called DSC radio sounds an
alarm and automatically switches to
the channel that you have selected for
response.
