This is how your trimmed batting should look.
Place a piece of batting over top of the squaring stitches,
making sure to cover them completely.
To begin, hoop a piece of No-Show Mesh stabilizer. Run the
first step of the design, which is the squaring stitch for the
batting.
Trim away the excess batting tightly from outside the squaring
stitch.
Run the next machine step, which is a tacking stitch for the
batting.

Be sure to leave enough fabric outside of your
squaring stitch for a seam allowance. A good
measurement to go by is 1⁄2” on all sides.
