FUSSY CUT BASIC BLOCK - HOW TO FUSSY CUT
When a fabric has been fussy cut, it means it was cut to feature a specific area on the fabric. Fussy cutting requires only a
few simple steps. First, you must choose a fabric that has some form of design element or printed pattern. We tend to avoid
fabrics with repeating patterns or symmetrical prints so there is an identifiable focal point. Once you've chosen what you
want to fussy cut, simply measure the fabric to center the element, and use a rotary cutter and straight edge to trim away the
surrounding fabric, being sure to add about 1⁄2" on all sides for your seam allowance.
