Next, take your base fabric and lay it down, being sure the
fabric extends at least 1⁄2” beyond the squaring stitch to
create your seam allowence.
Carefully trim the excess batting away from the tack down
stitches.

Run the remaining embroidery steps which are decorative
details for the quilt block. The last machine step will be the
trapunto stitches outlining the extra layers of batting, creating
a puffy look.
We suggest trimming one layer of batting at a
time to get the closest trim and to make cutting
