Using a pair of scissors, snip the loose, ragged edge every 1⁄8”
to 1⁄4” for each appliqué layer.
Continue with any remaining decorative stitches and
appliqués.

Scissors work great, but many embroidery
scissors have curved tips which can leave a
curved cut in the fabric edge. Quilting snips are
another great tool to get a straight cut.
TIP
Remove the block from the hoop. Using a rotary cutter and a Your ragged edge appliqué block is now finished.
