RADIAL BLOCK - ANATOMY OF THE DESIGN
Radial quilts are some of the most fun and exciting quilt designs Anita Goodesign offers! With a several variations for fold
counts, you can create a dynamic piece with radial blocks. Stitch the same block four times, turn them, and you can create a
true work of art with beautiful pinwheel and star shapes. The excitement of radial quilting doesn’t stop there! Customize your
quilt block with any isolated center design, or opt for the circle (like below). You can also increase your options by using small
appliqué or embroidered designs that you may have in other collections, making this technique great for variety.

This 4 piece radial block was
created with the illusion of
no start and stop point. The
bean stitches along the fold
lines disguise any seams.
Use one of the isolated
center designs to cover the
open circle in your radial
block, or you can use the
plain circle, pictured here.
This star indicates your
cornerstone fabric. In radial
quilt blocks fabric is placed
first, but also tacked down
in the very last step.
