STANDARD EMBROIDERY - ANATOMY OF THE DESIGN
A Standard Embroidery block, while always consisting of only thread stitched across a base fabric, can look completely
different from one block to the next. This category of block has a variety of stitching styles, such as satin or fill stitches. The
block will continue with several steps of decorative embroidery that work together to “paint” the design.
Notes:
Different stitch types create
visual contrast and break up
the design while still helping
build the scene as a whole.
