Use scissors to trim away the excess fabric from within the
block, leaving the fabric extending outside the edge of the
block for your 1/2” seam allowance.
Your first appliqué should look something like this when
trimmed.
NOTE: Each design differs, so be sure to follow your
numbered steps and the number bubbles on the Design
pages to know when each appliqué gets placed.
Repeat steps F through J for the remaining appliqué
pieces.
TIP: Use a matching thread for each appliqué so seams
will be less noticeable under the decorative stitches.
With the appliqué steps complete, continue to run the
remaining embroidery details, following your design’s
numbered steps to know when to change thread colors.
When the block is complete, remove it from the hoop. Use
a rotary cutter and ruler to trim the block to a 1/2” seam
allowance.
