Place a piece of plain white cotton over the placement
stitch for your mandala, then run the tacking stitch.
NOTE: Do not skip the appliqué step! The appliqué will
be completely hidden under embroidery, but is needed
to cover the exposed batting in your block.
Once you have run the tackdown stitch, use scissors to trim
away the excess fabric.
Your trimmed hidden appliqué should look something like
this.
Run the remaining steps in your merged design, which will
finish the embroidery details for your mandala.
When the design is finished, your can remove the block
from the hoop. Use a rotary cutter and ruler to trim the
block to a 1/2” seam allowance.
Your Radial Quilt block is now finished!
