Blessing In Disguise
Can you spot the appliqué? It’s hidden, so it may be a
bit difficult! When looking through design pages, you’ll
notice each one has been given number bubbles placed
where the appliqué layers are at. Once tacked down and
trimmed, the embroidery details run over these appliqué
pieces, covering the fabric with contours and shading.
This leaves an illusion of thicker fill stitches than what
is actually digitized, which saves time and weight in your
projects. This special technique of hidden appliqué is a
saving grace for stitch intensive designs, and will also
help hold up the integrity of the design you choose.
Some designs will have more appliqué pieces than
others, so be sure to follow the numbered steps for
your design to know when each piece is laid, as well as
determining the best fabric color.
Follow these numbered bubbles
on the design images to know
what order the hidden appliqués
get laid down.
