Now, run the tacking stitch for the Cornerstone fabric.
TIP: It is a good idea to use a matching thread for any
tacking steps in your block.
Trim away the excess fabric from inside the block, leaving
the fabric extending past the edges with a 1/2” seam
allowance.
Your Cornerstone fabric should look something like this
once trimmed.
Next, run the placement stitch for your first folded fabric
piece.
Place your fabric, right side down, over the placement
stitch where it over laps the Cornerstone.
TIP: When uncertain of how to lay your fabrics, the
fabric to be folded will always be laid right side down
over the last tacked fabric, as pictured above.
The next step in the design will be a folding stitch.
