Choosing colors
And patterns
Threads
Since this design set features embroidered buttons, the thread choices
make a big impact on your final look! Try selecting the colorway for
your main design first, then finding which colors you can incorporate
into the buttons. If extra threads are needed to complete the look,
you’ll then be able to pull in complimentary colors.
Fabric
For our project, we wanted fun and bold fabric to
create a cohesive look for the chosen design and
button pairings. We suggest trying a fat quarter
bundle to fit the theme of your design, adjusting
the color choices depending on the theme, whether
it be more muted or bright and bold!
Notions
Since this project is completed in multiple
hoopings, you will need 1 piece of tear away per
design, including the coordinating number of
buttons. You will also need a rotary cutter, ruler,
and scissors. To create the buttons, you will need a
covered button kit with size 36 flat back buttons.
