Threads
These tea towel designs are perfect for a fun pop
of color in your kitchen! We chose to keep our
designs cheery in pinks to coordinate with our
fabrics. With leaves and birds appearing in some of
the designs, it would be wise to keep a consistent
shade of green and a color palette for the birds to
use throughout the towel designs.
Notions
Since these designs will be stitched onto tea
towels, you only need a few simple notions tools.
As always, these will require trimming, so keep
a trusty pair of scissors on hand! Tape will also
aid in securing your tea towel to the hoop before
it becomes basted, as well as a seam ripper to
remove the baste at the end.
Fabric
Since this collection uses smaller appliqués to build the tea pots, cups, and other
elements in the designs, a jelly roll of patterned fabrics can work wonderfully. These
fabric bundles are created with 2.5” strips of fabrics that carry a consistent color scheme
or theme, perfect to use when creating more than one design in a collection! Try finding a
jelly roll in colors you like, then picking a thread palette from those colors.
