Bring the fabric over the folding stitch and pull taut, giving
the fold a finger crease.
REMEMBER: This initial Cornerstone piece will not be
fully tacked in place until the end of the radial folds!
We will now run the next step, which will be a placement
stitch for the secondary folded fabric piece.
WARNING: The placement stitch for the secondary
fabric will also tack the top fold your first fabric, so
match your placement stitch thread to the first fabric!
Place the second folded fabric piece, right side facing
down, covering the placement stitch by 1/4”.
Be sure to plan for a 1/2” seam allowance on any side
extending to the edge of the block once folded.
The next step will be a folding stitch, shown in white.
Fold the fabric over the folding stitch and pull taut, finger
creasing the fabric for a crisp fold.
Run the next machine step, which is a tacking stitch for the
second folded fabric, shown in white. Trim away the excess
fabric from the tacking stitch, careful not to trim away your
needed seam allowances.
NOTE: All four sides of this piece will get tacked down, so
use a matching thread to the second fabric.
