O P
Starting on a seam line, place your binding along the edge.
Make sure the raw edges of the quilt top and the binding
are placed right sides together. Fold the starting edge back
to make a triangle, creating a finished start and stop point.
You can now transfer the quilt to your sewing machine and
begin joining the binding.
R
Fold the binding back on itself, perpendicular to the seam
you have just stitched.
Start by cutting your binding strips. This 9-block (A size)
quilt will need a binding strip measuring 2½” by 108”.
For other quilt dimensions, your binding will need
to be long enough to cover your perimeter plus 6-8”.
Reference the charts in this section for fabric amounts.

Sew using a ½” seam allowance, stopping the stitch a ½”
from the corner, then sew at a 45 degree angle to the edge
of the binding (circled). Then, remove the quilt from your
machine.
